DECEMBER EVENTS!
DECEMBER EVENTS!
12/11 – Mass and Christmas Luncheon – St. Cletus Parish, 600 W. 55th St., LaGrangeMass is at 11:00 followed by lunch atThe Flame Restaurant, 803 Joliet Rd, Countryside
12/18 - Christmas Caroling - We will be caroling at The British and Scottish Homes on Sunday, December 18th. These 2 retirement places are about 5 minutes apart: The British Home at the Wye Housing at 2:00 pm. and The Scottish Home at 2:45pm.
Our hope is that as many of us as possible will participate in these events. It gives us all an opportunity to share in this most festive & blessed time of year and brighten up the holidays for those who are convalescing.
Please let us know that you will be participating in one or both of these events so we can coordinate the particulars with you. 10/15 --- Morton Arboretum --- 4100 Illinois Rte. 53, Lisle
We'll meet at Panera Bread in LaGrange Park at 10:45am
and leave promptly at 11am.
The charge is $11 per person.
10/29 --- Cosmic Bowling --- Willowbrook Lanes, 735 Plainfield Rd., Willowbrook
Bowling starts at 9:30pm
The cost is $15 per person
Band playing that night is Black Swan
Halloween costume is optional.
Please let us know by 10/21 if you plan on attending. We need to let the bowling alley know how many people will be attending.

We hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather as we close out the summer. Here are the events coming up that we have planned:
September
Saturday, 9/17 - Dinner and a Movie --- Meet at Grapevine Restaurant, 9 W. Hillgrove in LaGrange at 5pm for dinner followed by a movie at the LaGrange Theater.
Friday, 9/23 - Karaoke Night --- JC's Pub, 8650 Joliet Road in McCook. We'll meet there at 8:30pm.
October
Saturday, 10/1 - Oktoberfest --- St. Louise de Marillac Church, 30th & Raymond in LaGrange Park. We'll attend the 5pm mass followed by the festivities.
Saturday, 10/15 - Morton Arboretum in Lisle - Details on this outing to come as we get closer.

MAYSLAKE MINISTRIES
UPDATE
I am very happy to report that the SCSG collected a total of $350.00 to send to Mayslake Ministries. We are very grateful to all who donated to this worthy cause. A special thanks goes to Marge T. and Kathy E. Without their efforts we would not have been successful in exceeding our goal of $200.00. Let us remember to keep our veterans in our prayers. Job well done!!!
We are sponsoring a veteran to attend a Post Traumatic Spiritual Stress Retreat in Naperville.
The cost is $200.00 per soldier. Please help us reach our goal by sending a check or money order made out to Mayslake Ministries and send to SCSG, PO BOX 1264. La Grange Park, IL 60526. We can accept donations up to July 15th.
